There’s something extra special about a wedding that feels completely and utterly them. For Lily and Luke, their intimate wedding at the beautiful Berry Hill Farm was a heartfelt celebration of love, surrounded by their closest family and friends, with a breathtaking backdrop of the Hawkesbury River and the magnificent escarpment.
On a spring day in September, while the rest of the world went about its usual Tuesday routine, the team at Berry Hill Farm worked behind the scenes, bringing all the puzzle pieces together to create a beautiful ceremony and reception for two very special people.
The morning began with Luke enjoying a round of golf before returning to the celebrations, while Lily and her girls enjoyed some music, laughter and a little pampering as the hair and makeup stylists worked their magic. There’s something so lovely about those quiet, unhurried moments before the day unfolds, surrounded by the people who mean the most.
As the ceremony began, all eyes turned to the aisle, where young Jack took on the very important role of ring bearer. With a beaming smile on his face, he made his way down the aisle, bringing an extra dose of sweetness to the occasion. And then came Luke’s moment. When he saw Lily, his smile was heartfelt — a beautiful, genuine reaction that said everything without a single word.
As the afternoon gave way to evening, the sun began to set over the mountains, bathing the celebration in that gorgeous, soft spring light. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm and full of love — a reflection of the couple themselves and the people who had come together to celebrate their marriage.
And when it came time to celebrate, there was certainly no shortage of fun! With never-ending pizza keeping everyone fuelled, the dance floor soon became the place to be. Laughter, dancing and plenty of happy moments carried the celebrations into the evening, creating memories that Lily, Luke and their guests will treasure for years to come.
Lily and Luke’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that what makes a wedding memorable is the love shared between two people and the people lucky enough to witness it. From Jack’s unforgettable walk down the aisle, the father of the bride beaming with pride, Luke’s beaming smile when he first saw his bride and a few cautious jokes by the best man, every moment was filled with genuine emotion, warmth and joy.
