I have always loved photography but for a quite some time I had a ‘normal’ job as a detective and also a primary school teacher. Now I juggle motherhood while also taking photographs for loving couples and families. People just like me – people who want to savour all the little things in life.
I was first inspired to take images by my grandfather when I was a young child. He was a keen amateur photographer who entered his landscape photos into competitions. I remember thinking that his photos always conveyed a certain mood. In fact, I think I learnt to ‘compose’ photographic images as a result of admiring his work.
As many of us do, I started taking photos during holidays and events and about 15 years ago I was asked by one of my friends to photograph her wedding day. Her reaction when I delivered the printed images was priceless. She told me that she loved my photos as they were so ‘real’ and reflected the emotion of the day. I learnt at that moment that I could give people an extremely precious and beautiful gift through my photography.
My passion for photography grew further when I had each of my own four children. I experienced the wonder of the small everyday moments such as the light in my children’s hair, tiny toes, the cheeky grins and even the crazy eyes. I love capturing those fun, spontaneous moments using natural light in familiar everyday situations. My photography is about capturing the expressions, emotion, love and connections between you, your partner and your family.
I am also a hopeless romantic so I love wedding photography as much as I love taking photos of children and families.
I am located at the base of the Blue Mountains, Sydney but I’m happy to travel. Feel free to call, email or just take a peek. I would love to photograph your precious moments. xo
If you have any questions or you’d like to ask me something, please do. I’d love to hear from you!
